Pioneer Spotlight

Sevastopol’s longtime elementary secretary, Paula Symons, has recently been diagnosed with multiple plasma cell leukemia. She will be staying in Milwaukee during the upcoming months while having stem cell treatment.

In an effort to support Paula’s hospital stay and medical expenses, a clothing fundraiser is being launched. The fundraiser will offer the Sevastopol community a means to outwardly show their support for Paula while also assisting in funding the expenses associated with her treatment.

As a longtime Pioneer, Paula exemplifies grace, generosity, and commitment. In addition to her professional duties, she has donated countless hours reaching out to help those in need, continuously supported the school athletic programs, and served as a positive representative of the Sevastopol School District. Above all else, it is Paula’s tenderhearted nature with children that sets her apart. If you have had a child attend Sevastopol elementary in the past two decades, Mrs. Symons was sure to have made them smile, offered them a kind gesture, or gave a much needed hug.

As a reflection of Paula’s kind and giving nature, please join us in supporting our efforts. We encourage you to be Symons Strong!

Deadline: Order forms are due by Friday, December 7th. Orders can be turned in to the school office or to Jen Wiesner. Please make checks payable to: Sevastopol High School.

All proceeds will be used to help fund Paula Symons’ stay and medical bills. If you wish to purchase additional shirts or would like to donate beyond the cost of the clothing, please forward donations to Jen Wiesner at Sevastopol School.
